Are You Saved – How Do You Know?

Salvation Through ChristAre You Saved – How Do You Know?

Are you saved? The answer to this question may surprise you. It may surprise you because according to The Bible, you have already been “saved” by the redemptive work of Jesus Christ, when He died in man’s place on the Cross. While some Christian Churches would have you believe, that all men are still dead in their sins, and that you are not saved until you say some ritualistic prayer, inviting Jesus into your heart, and at that moment getting “born again”, the Bible is very clear concerning God’s provision for the salvation of the human race.

The subject regarding one’s salvation depending on who you talk to, can be very confusing and convoluted. Let’s see if we can put the pieces of the puzzle together, and determine what God’s Word has to say about whether we have to “get saved”, or are you saved already, and actually have to reject the salvation that God has provided in order to be “lost”.

Here are just a few of the scriptures that deal with the subject of the salvation of the human race.

“It is by free grace (God’s unmerited favor) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation) through [your] faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [of your own doing, it came not through your own striving], but it is the gift of God.” (Ephesians 2:8 AMP)

By Grace You Have Been Saved

According to this scripture, salvation is granted to “all men” by the unmerited favor of God. This means that salvation is a free gift that has nothing to do with what we do or don’t do. Notice that there is nothing in these scriptures that says that we need to do anything in order to secure salvation. But you have a decision to make… Keep reading >>>

  2. Hello Valerie Pentek,

I am sorry to hear that your life has been filled with tragedy these past several years. However, you should know with certainty that God is not “doing this to you”. Too often people think that because God is all powerful, that He can control the events that occur in our lives. Nothing could be further from the truth. The Bible tells us that when God created the world He gave total dominion and sovereignty in the Earth to mankind. We in turn, sold God out by disobeying God and by so doing, gave away their sovereignty to Satan. Jesus came to win us back to God so that we might have a second chance at eternal life. However, we are still in control of this planet and over our own lives. There are things God can do and there are things God cannot do in spite of His might and power. He cannot interfere with our free wills or the decisions we make in our lives. If He did, He would be nothing more than a puppeteer that manipulates us in order to get His way. The tragedies that occur in our lives are the result of things we nor God have any control over. They are simply the result of living in a system which men have created, most of which revolves around sin, greed, selfishness, etc. While God loves us more than we will ever know, He does not have a legal right to interfere with the things that occur in our lives. Bad things have always happened to good people, and as much as He loves us, He cannot interfere with the sovereignty and dominion He gave to the human race when He created Adam and Eve. This is why Jesus came to save us, so that someday, when all of this is over, sin and sinful men will be destroyed and those who do not lose faith in Him will live forever in a tragedy free world. Do not despair and do not make the mistake of thinking that God is doing these things to you. All of the tragedy that happens in our lives can be traced back to a system created by the Satan and emulated by people who have embraced his way of life. A way of life that has its roots in selfishness and the choice to do things our way rather than God’s.

    • Hello thank-you for your reply I do not think God is doing this to me I know that I have sinned but at the time I did not know it was a sin. But I have told God all I have done and asked forgiveness .But what I do not understand is God see ever think so he know what I have done but the other person has walked free and this person is the one God tell us to watch out for a wolf dressed in lamb clothing .Yes I have sinned but I am so sorry for what I have done but God could help me as I can not proof what the other person has done but God can. And I do understand that God give us the earth and can not interfere in our life but the Bible say that Jesus say any one who calls to me will be saved so why can I not get any help as I love God and I am not a bad person because if someone came to me and said I have no shoes to wear I would take my shoes of and give them to the person and God know this to be true .All I want is for God to help me and if you say that he can not then why do we pray as so more people pray for help as I do and if God will not help me can I pray that the gift of life that God give me can he take it back as my life is over without his help . I always believe that I asked Jesus into my life and we was as one so why is some people life on earth easy as I know a lady how is 92 years old so does not believe in God and she spend her life just thinking about her self and she has only a good life so more question that I can not find the right ask to but one think I will keep doing is putting my faith in God and I will pray to him for help as I always do.
