Finding Peace Of Mind In Your Daily Life When You Rest In God
Is finding peace of mind in your life a daunting task? Are you looking to simplify your life and desire peace of mind in your life? Have you heard the expression, “let go and let God”? Well that sounds simple right? Well you should know that this exactly what Jesus wants from you. He wants you to rely and rest on Him totally (100%) and He will do the rest. Make it a point today to stop laboring and worrying about things of this world but rather focus your energy on His unconditional love for you. Invite God into your life and make Him first place and enjoy the abundance of grace He freely gives you.
For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the
body more than clothing? “Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?
“And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life? “And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin, yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these. “But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you?
You of little faith! “Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear for clothing?’ “For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Each and every day God provides you with enough of His favor to take care of the day’s needs. Find rest and peace in Him. Do not worry about tomorrow and know His favor will be there for you then. Once you truly understand this and allow it to manifest and take root in your spirit, then and only then can you have true lasting peace of mind in your life.
Find Inner Peace and Have Peace Of Mind In Your Life
Want to know how to find inner peace and have peace of mind in your life on a daily basis? Two thousand years ago an angel appeared to shepherds abiding in a field, watching over their flocks by night. Clothed in glorious light, his sudden appearance terrified them. He greeted them with these words, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.” No sooner were these words spoken when suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
Find Inner Peace Through Jesus Christ
This announcement by the heavenly host to the inhabitants of earth significantly tied
together the birth of the Son of God into our world, and the peace the world so desperately needs. “Peace on earth to those on whom His favor rest.” they declared. If having peace in ones life comes only to those on whom His favor rests, the question would be,
“How do I get His favor to rest on me so I can find inner peace?”
The reality is, that no matter what a man may aspire to, be it fame, riches, power, or anything else this world has to offer, there is no inner peace to be found therein. If a person does not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, peace will always be momentary and fleeting and you will never find inner peace for any length of time. Why? Simply because of mankind’s inherent fear of death. There can be no true and lasting peace in the heart of a man, while the inevitable specter of the grave lies ever before him.
But God loved us too much to leave us to the grave, nor would He allow those who are His to live a life never knowing the inner peace He would have us live in. So this is what He did so you can enjoy and find inner peace.
“Since, therefore, [these His] children share in flesh and blood [in the physical nature of human beings], He [Himself] in a similar manner partook of the same [nature], that by [going through] death He might bring to nought and make of no effect him who had the power of death, that is, the devil. And also that He might deliver and completely set free all those who through the [haunting] fear of death were held in bondage throughout the whole course of their lives.” (Hebrews 2:14 & 15 Amplified Bible)
Before Jesus came to earth, the Bible states that the Devil had the power of death. It was by
going through death that Jesus took from him the power of death. Before the world was created, God, who knows the end from the beginning, knew that one day in eternity, He would have to go through an unimaginable death by crucifixion in order to take from the enemy of man, the power of death. By doing this, He broke the chains of bondage that held mankind in its grip, because of the fear of eternal death.
Jesus in turn, has placed the power of life or death back into our hands. Every one of us has the power to accept what God has done for us, and choose life. Placing ones destiny in the Hands of God brings peace that surpasses all understanding and is the only way to find inner peace. Of course, we also have the power to reject the Lordship of Christ, and by so doing, declare that we have chosen instead to be our own gods. This decision leads to eternal death. The point is, that the power is in our hands. God says, “Choose life, that you and your seed might live.” (Deuteronomy 30:19)
Rest On God’s Promise and Find Inner Peace
God has promised that if we trust and believe in what Jesus Christ has done for us by His death and resurrection, the grave will not hold us. At the appointed time, when Jesus returns to the earth, He has promised to resurrect all who have chosen Him as their Lord and Savior. Only by knowing with complete certainty that your eternal destiny is sealed by God, and that you are destined to live forever, will you ever know lasting inner peace. Jesus must have thought it was worth it; how can we not.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
Before He left the earth, Jesus gave this gift to all who believe and trust in Him
“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John 14:27 NKJV)
Is God in your life today and are you conscious of God’s presence in your life? The bible scripture states,
“The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”). (Matthew 1:23 NIV)
Get up every day knowing that God is by your side and is always with you and experience the feeling of God’s presence in your life. When God makes a promise to you He never breaks it. God makes this promise to you:
“Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5)
When you establish a relationship with God and invite Him into your life, it “activate”s God’s power and you will begin to live a restful and peaceful life. When you are conscious of God’s presence every day, you will experience His peace which gives you total rest, insurmountable joy in your spirit and a power that nothing in this world can come close to. In Hebrew, the
peace He gives unto you is “Shalom” peace. This is a total and complete peace touching every aspect of your “being”.
The fact is, once your invite God into your life you’ll experience a Christ-like peacefulness. You’ll express yourself and become like Him, a new creation. It is impossible to live in God’s presence without His beauty, love, peace, power and glory rubbing off and becoming part of you.
So how can you recognize being in God’s presence?
Start with seeing God with you in everything you do and wherever you might be. At the workplace for instance, see the Lord beside you directing your steps and thoughts. God’s presence brings clarity of thought and wisdom allowing you to excel. You will discover yourself flowing with great ideas and perhaps even earn a promotion.
If you are looking to make a career change and looking for a new job, God is along side you and guiding you during your interview. See the Lord there in the interview room with you, providing the words you speak. Any nervousness you experience will dissipate as you experience His favor and grace upon you bringing smiles and approving nods from the hiring manager.
Should you be in the middle of an argument, be conscious of and envision the Lord standing beside you. Once you are aware of God’s presence, your words will change and your argument will soon end as you experience the spirit of grace come over. You will observe a restraint and calmness which is not borne out of human resolve, but comes when you know that God who unconditionally loves and watches over you, is there by your side.
Friends, when you become aware of God’s presence in your daily life, worries and anxieties will have no place in your mind. Take time every day to give God thanks and praise in everything, and make Him part of your life. The favor of God will be upon you manifesting an unbelievable joy and peace, prospering you in every area of your life.
The true meaning of Christmas began more than two thousand years ago when the Lord of all Creation, the God of all that exists, asked His only Son to lay down His crown and come to planet Earth. Through the miracle of incarnation, He would be born of a virgin in small town called Bethlehem, His birthing place a stable, His bed, a manger. His name would be called Jesus. He would be a stranger in the world that He created, an alien among those whom He made in His own image and likeness. His mission, to reconcile a lost and dying world back to His Father God, to redeem any and all who would hear His voice and rise to the high calling of becoming the Sons of God.
Every twenty fifth of December, we celebrate the birth of the Son of God into our world. Yet there are so many that do not fully understand the significance of this greatest of all events in Earth’s history. For so many, the day has become associated with festive decorum, the buying, selling and giving of presents, the decorating of Christmas trees, and the visiting of relatives we get to see once a year whether we want to or not. For some, the holiday season is one of sadness, loneliness and depression, also due to not understanding or not believing that “God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself“…and that, “God sent His son into the world, that the world through Him might be saved.” (2 Corinthians 5:19 & John 3:17)
Jesus revealed to the world the character and nature of God the Father. A love so great, that when the only way the world could be saved was for Him to give his only Son to pay for the sins of man, He did not hesitate. The true meaning of Christmas is understanding that the great love that God has for us could leave no stone unturned to save us. Consider, that if Jesus knew that only one person who has ever lived would accept His sacrifice, He would still have come to Earth and endured all that the cross held in store for Him, even if it meant that only that one person would be saved from eternal death.
True Meaning Of Christmas – A Season For Giving
This Christmas season, let us try to share the love of God with others. A kind deed, a need fulfilled, a helping hand, even a sacrifice or two if necessary. Let us endeavor to emulate the selfless love that Christ had for us, a love so unfathomable, that when He saw the plight of man, in spite of all He knew He would suffer at the hands of sinful men, He turned to His Father and said, “Yes Father, I will go.”
