How Can I Find God

How Can I Find God

In the heart of every human being is a God-shaped void. A void that can only be filled by the God who created us. Churches around the world are filled with people crying out “how can I find God”. And though God is completely aware of us down to the finest details of our lives, for a variety of reasons, many cannot seem to “find Him”.

Help Me Find God

Depending on others to help one find God is doomed to be a futile venture. This is because, God is not lost. In fact, if our spiritual eyes were opened, we would find that God is surrounding us every moment of every day, waiting for us to invite Him into our lives. Contrary to what many churches teach, and what many people erroneously believe, God is not sovereign in our lives unless we want Him to be, and make it known to Him that we How Can I Find God

do.

In the third chapter of Revelation verse 20, Jesus said, Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”

Finding God Is Easy

Kind of amazing that the One who created all things, including us, is putting forth an invitation like this. Obviously, if He is standing at the door of your heart, you don’t need to go looking for Him. If God is knocking, then it must be up to us to open the door to let Him in. The problem with the request, “How can I find God”, is that in reality, no one can help you find Him because He is always there with you.

Finding God is easy, learning what He is like is another matter. As in any relationship, the only way to get to know someone is to spend time with them. And there is one prerequisite God has for getting to know Him, God said, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13

God wants you to get to know all about Him. He has completely revealed Himself through Jesus Christ. Jesus said, “he that has seen me has seen the Father”. All that we need to know concerning what God is like was revealed through Jesus. If you really want God in your life, get to know Jesus. As He said, He stands at the door of your heart and knocks. All you have to do is talk to Him in prayer, He will do the rest.

Keep in mind, as in any relationship, it will take time for you to get to know Him. But if you are faithful to seek above all things to get to know Him, He will surely reveal Himself to you, and you will never again have to say, “Help me find God.”

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” – Matthew 7:7 & 8

Dear God Please Help – Help Me Find God

Dear God Please HelpDear God Please Help

Are you in a bad place and asking, “Dear God please help me” or “God please give me strength”? Are your prayers falling on deaf ears? There are many times when we pray to God for something that is really important to us or that is urgently needful, and it seems as if our prayers are falling on deaf ears. “Why won’t God help me?” you wonder. The reasons why some prayers go unanswered is not always apparent. But one thing is for sure. So if you are asking dear God please help me, you should know if we ask anything according to His will, God hears us.

“This is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.” (1 John 5:14 & 15 NKJV)

Notice that this verse is telling us that we can have confidence that God will answer our prayers, if we pray “according to His will”. So the next logical question would be, “What is God’s will”? If we expect to get our prayers answered, we must first fulfill several prerequisites. Here are some of them.

“When you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.” (James 1: 5–7 NIV)

Here the Bible is telling us that if we are double minded when we pray, we should not expect to receive anything from God. So what does it mean to be double minded? It simply means that when you ask God for something in prayer, you are hoping He will answer you, but you are not really sure that He will. That kind of praying is kind of like throwing mud against the wall, and…keep reading >>>

Trusting God Through Difficult Times

Trusting God Through Difficult Times

Are you trusting God today? Do you trust in God even when you are going through difficult times? Over the years one thing I’ve learned is the fact God doesn’t often work on our time table. In fact, He seldom does. God lives outside of time. He has His own timetable for you personally. In a single instant, God is capable of changing your life around!

All throughout the word of God, we see examples of just how the Lord was operating on trusting god in difficult times

His peoples’ behalf and effortlessly turned things around for them. The same holds true today. The bible tells us He is the same yesterday, today and forever. This means if God did it for them, He can without hesitation turn things around for you, too! Just stay in faith and believe.

Perhaps you are enduring some challenges today. You should be encouraged because your problems are in God’s hands. Deep down in your spirit believe that He has your best interest at heart. And He truly wants to pour out His love on you. God definitely wants to take you above and beyond what you ever dreamed possible and work in your life in ways more than you have ever imagined. So why don’t you let this inescapable fact sink down deep into your heart today and start believing and stop worrying.

Invite God into your life and draw near to Him and He will draw near to you. Get up every morning with a sense of hope and promise of good things to come. Make it a habit to rid yourself of negative harmful thoughts.

Refrain from despair and frustration by speaking His Word over your future. Keep on standing strong, always keep hoping and believing as God is working hard behind the scenes for YOU. Have faith as your circumstances are in His hands, and He will direct you through a life of glory that He has made for you personally!
